Research/Education Summary

I graduated medical school from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. I then completed a residency in Pediatric Medicine at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ in 2013. After residency, I worked as a General Pediatrician at North Willow Grove Pediatrics in Willow Grove, PA. I then moved to Gainesville to pursue fellowship training in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Florida.

As research is an integral part of my fellowship curriculum, I joined Dr. Christian Jobin’s lab in 2015 to study the role of bacterial biofilms in the development of colitis-associated colorectal cancer. My research focuses on the functional role of adhesin protein in E. Coli biofilm development and what impact these have on inflammation and carcinogenesis in the gut.
